Back in March I was starting to feel a bit down, I always struggle with the lack of sunshine over the winter and combined with still being out of full time work I was a bit fed up.
Then, the sunshine came!
Those first sunny days filled me with hope, joy and inspiration! I started to see little flowers peeking up through the grass and the long missed warmth and colour returning.
After a bit of a dry spell design wise It got me thinking and I created a spring board over on pinterest.

So, here is the result! I created a necklace and a bracelet inspired by each of the flowers I associate most with spring; daffodils, crocuses, snowdrops, Irises and blossom.
The beads I used were a combination of czech glass, handmade lampwork by Trudi at Glittering Prize, ceramics by Natalie at Grubbi ceramics and assorted pressed glass beads. I even slipped a couple of my own handmade beads in too! (a gold star for anyone who can spot them!) I chose a knotted design to give a fun, casual look with lots of movement.

I must admit, I am pleased with the results especially as this is the first themed collection I have done. It has definitely inspired me to do more.
I'd love to know which is your favourite spring flower, and which other collections you would love to see.
